Has anyone received their Twsbi from eBay yet?

Wow, let me give you the update

I went Eva Cargo to pick up the pen yesterday without success, because my customer broker applied the release form by using two luggage number and got approved, but Eva cargo cannot find them. Be;cause Eva creates his own house bill number; two doesn't match each other, cannot pick up.

Customer broker must make another application (which is done now). This morning from the computer of customer broker he see the new application has been released, but real paper (which I also need to pick up from him then to Eva cargo again) hasn't reach his hand yet (it is about half day now). anyhow, tomorrow I should be able to get the pen out from airport. and

Today I received the label printer, afte dinner I will try make it working.

I just sent a email my ebay customer regarding seal leak issue and solution, pls also refer

Yesderday (7/21) I got pen picked up from the LA airport, ran home, lunch, set up the new Dymo LaberWriter 450 Turbo, try to print the paypal USPS postage label direct from my Mac. Everything was fine until I press preprint the label, it print out too long (the label I purchase was 2 5/16" x 4", it print out 2.4" x 7.5" and printed wrong way (portrait instead of landscape I need). I am stunned immediately.

Then I start trying all different method and search on the internet... It end up paypal postage printing doesn't support Dymo printing from the Mac system.(I switched to my window OS, it works fine). I really don't understand, this is just a very simple fix on the programming, why don't they do it right? (it seems to me Mac user is a second class citizen in turn of benefit of use, but paying more though).

Ok, keep searching, I need to buy 2.4" x 7.5" label (oh, this is called "

Dymo 99019 Internet Postage Labels - 1-Part (PayPal & EBay)

"), but seems only available on webstore, eventually I placed the order from Officemax, but they said need 1 to 3 days to ship, anyhow.

I tried other print out other format, it works to print out 4" x 6" size through my regular HP laserjet printer. OK, let's buy some 4" x 6" sheet label. CAN'T FIND!

sofar. (option be, I print label out, cut it, glue it to the box, tape to make sure it fix. (Aaaaa, don't tape over barcode area!!). It ther 4x6 shipping label printer? Yes, very popular and expensive Zebra LP 2844, ok let me buy one. No, it doesn't support Mac... How about buy a LP2844 plus buy a PC that ran Window? My God!

Is there other 4x6 label printer? Yes, Dymo LabelWriter 4XL, it works with Mac, great!

But, not sure if paypal support the this model of Dymo machine.

That's my life since 4 PM till 2 AM yesterday.

So, what's now.

Later I go out to Staples or Depo see If I can find "internet postage label" or 4"x6" sheet label, print in window with Dymo 40 or print by HP with sticky label or wihte paper then tape. After recent orders shipped out, need to find better solution for future daily run.

Hurrah for Speedy! I am waiting patiently for my EBay TWSBI. Incidentally, if you offer the pen in that blue or green, I'll buy at least one more...and maybe two!

Yes. Macintosh users are second-class citizens.

If you're going to do a lot of shipping you might consider a UPS account. I pay $2 a week for a printer. Seems like a lot until you realize that UPS supplies your labels. If it breaks the send me a new one and a box to ship the old one back. Not sure heat the cost difference is for shipping but it may be worth it. UPS also offers much better tracking than the USPS. Bad part is I have it set up with an old pc as a shipping center.

I believe UPS is far more expensive then USPS, that's why I did not put USP option on ebay store.

Correct, UPS is almost always far more expensive and cannot always deliver to all addresses. They usually deliver within 1-2 days though, whereas using USPS offers little speed difference compared to shipping directly from Taiwan.

The USPS is the best unless there are specific needs and cost is not a factor.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
