I know I've said it in a couple of emails but another huge THANK YOU to mahkie and speedy for all your efforts!

I was one of those who threw another wrench into the works by wanting one of the pencils as well, but once again, speedy has stepped things up another notch by custom building these. Thanks again to both of you! :notworthy1:

TWRDO,

Mechanical Pencil? I saw the intial graphic he had done but I never heard anything more about it... Did he make more than one and are they available? I would absolutely adore a MP like was talked about before... any information?

Many Thanks,

Stephen

True to form when tracking my pen after landing in Vancouver Canada Post's website says my pen is still there awaiting customs inspection (since July 3rd). Funny because my spanking new TWSBI has been in my hands since it was delivered early this morning. And yes it's a beauty. Now if only my J. Herbin 1670 Rouge Hematite would arrive.

Can someone please tell me how I can order one????

I would very much appreciate it.

You can't, at least not right now.

When Speedy gets his first production run finished, he'll sell them here: TWSBI EBay Store

These were from a short test run of 300. mahkie has a waiting list for the few pens that haven't been sold, and here is the info: Twsbi Diamond Piston-Filling Pen Presale, but I think there are so many people ahead of you that attempting to get on the waiting list would be futile.

Still enjoying this wonderful pen and highly recommend it! BTW, there's another thread under the FS forum that has tips for piston-leak, etc....but mostly rave reviews. Thanks Mahkie and Speedy!!!!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
