Wasn't able to go this year, as I was out of the country; however, I went in 2009, and it was a great show. Not huge, but great people, some nice pens, and great pen fellowship. Hope to make it for 2011.

I can't wait to go! I'll be waiting impatiently for next March! I think I'll be saving my birthday money for the show; it's only six days before I turn 19. :D

I'm confident we will be in Omaha well before then, but I plan to return for the show. It's a great time and growing. We have secured a much better venue this year and the show promised to be a wonderful time.

Please take note of the following changes to our upcoming pen how in 2011.

Instead of 1 2-day show, the Arkansas Pen Club was able to secure a 3-day pen show. In additon to that, we also secured a room for dealers and serious pen collectors to buy, trade, and barter on pens on Thursday afternoon.

Please see the revised official brochure of our pen show next year ...

As of right now, this moment...I'm not scheduled to work and was wondering about a few details.

I saw that the table cost is $75.00, is this per day cost or for the whole event?

Also, is a tax ID thing required?

And lastly, what size table does the $75.00 get a person?

Thanks

Scott B

Scott,

Thanks for your inquiry. $75 per table is for the three-day show. They are 6" long.

No tax id required as some vendors are pure hobbists, not business entities.

I hope you are able to join us ... lots of fun, nice pen folks, and all kinds of fountain pens.

Just over a month away. Since selling a kidney seemed so drastic, now I am reduced to collecting pennies on the street to build up a stash for the show! :headsmack: :puddle:

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
