Why are topics about Waterman nibs being deleted?

I responded to a topic about Waterman nibs, and it disappeared. I started a topic asking about the one that disappeared and my topic disappeared. What is happening?

I think the board owner is biased against Waterman, for some unknown reason. You might have noticed that there is still no Waterman forum.

This is the oddest conspiracy theory I have ever heard :ltcapd: :ltcapd: :roflmho: :roflmho:

Seriously, where on Earth did you ever get the impression that Cam doesn't like Waterman pens?

Even if he didn't fancy the pens, I am pretty darned sure that he wouldn't kill any board topics about the brand. He is hosting this site out of the goodness of his heart and his love of pens, and I don't think your comments (which again, sound like they came out of left field) are very fair.

As for the topic of a Waterman forum, I think that has been discussed in another thread by the Admin Team, and I seriously doubt that they have any beef vs. Waterman pens or nibs....

Ht1, if you are having a problem with starting a thread, I think you might want to send an email or a PM to the FPN Admin Team.

Thank you. I was on the forum when the hacker disrupted service, and was wondering if something was happening related to that. I will contact the admin and ask.

With Waterman Phileas being my favorite fountain pen I am glad that I was actively on the forum when the Waterman forum was created. This is a great place to be.

I don't think there is any bias. After all, Waterman pens are arguably some of the best ones out there. It just took awhile for Onion and I to finish up on our little brain washing experiment  with the admin team. As you can see, we were VERY successful :roflmho:

Oh yes. That's right. Assimilated. :o

1. Have a look at the size of the Admin Team.

2. Have a think about the vastness of the Murphy Towers organisation.

3. Think of the comparative computer powers of both.

4. Ponder to yourself - "How many of the Admin Team, Mods etc. could even get a Babbage MkII up to steam, let alone design MkIII" *

Assimilated ? :roflmho:

* More on this anon.

Hey gang, The Waterman forum has been opened and the admins and Mods have been importing posts from other forums into the Waterman forum. If you post was gone from a previous forum it was most likely moved to this forum.

Welcome to the new forum and lets have some fun!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
