"italianpens" On Ebay - What's Your Experience?

I advise you try not to deal with him for returns. It's probably best to go into your local shop and see if they can do warranties. Visconti are good with warranties and if you just have the booklet without the stamp and date etc they will still allow you to do it. It takes a while but for the price its worth it. If you want to buy it from someone else on ebay expect to pay a fair bit more. (divinas are around 450? ) Even if you get it fixed at cost, it will be less than than actually buying it from a retail shop.

The best way for me is moneyback. MAybe i will open dispute at paypal, because the pen is broken.

We have no Visconti service center here in Moscow. All of pens can be send to manufacture in Italy... I've already contact with my distributor, they can help me.

PS I buy Divina for 595 (come whit 14K nib) + 195 for upgrading 23k palladium nib. Nevermind.

I'm not sure anyone is keeping score but I wanted to chime in and say I've bought a couple of pens from this seller and had very positive interaction with him. I've added him to my favorite seller list and I keep an eye on everything he posts. I've asked him questions and gotten answers back and he's never messed up an order.

I too have had nothing but positive experiences with this seller?

I highly reccommend them.

I had a positive experience. I purchased an HS at a good price from the Seller last year. The pen was a bit finicky at first. The seller offered a full refund. Fortunately it was not necessary.

I have had a great experience with Lou @ Italianpens.

I ordered an Aurora Mare (Optima) from them.

When the pen came, the nib had a factory defect.

I thought about sending the pen to a nib meister but I contacted Italianpens first to get their advice on this, Lou asked me to send the pen back. He even paid for the shipping cost. Lou replaced the pen with a new 18k nib and delivered it back to me in a week, along with a pocket-size Italianpens notepad.

The repaired pen writes like a dream!

I can't be happier with his proactiveness and professionalism.

Personally I think price is a subjective matter. If the price is right for you, that is the right price. I think what I paid was a good price.

I highly recommend Italianpens.

The guy is legit, sometimes a little expensive, but was very straightforward and helpful on a rare-ish omas with me.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
