Beautiful work as always.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Hello Andrew,

I love this ink, it gives the impression of antique/old, its as if its faded with time, its little slow in drying though (and you can see the problem that caused in the lower left corner of the drawing).

Best regards,

Hello Ruth,

Thank you for your kind words, the text is a sad poem in Persian, it will be very difficult for me to translate, but in general its about being sad and to be ready to sacrifice for the person you love and shed tears for that person.

Best regards,

Northstar

this is so great all of you have such talent . i wish i had 1/4 of the talent that most of you have . the other day i was at the post office and the mail clerk lady noticed the back of my letter and it was illustrated , she looks at me and says to me "Why are you not illustrating childrens books " ? I said I dont feel as though I am that good . she looks at me and say are you kidding ? she said " I would give my right teeth to draw like this " . Well it made me feel good to hear someone say that they think my art is that good . Kudos to all of us who make the world a nicer place with what we draw and share with the world . All of you have such talent and I must say i feel blessed to be part of this fp community that does such wonderful work .

Hi! This is not arts but I hope useful things for this topic. Finally I finished my 3 month ink fade test marathon. I hope that my work will be useful to many fans of writing by fountain pens. Of course, this is not the worlds full range of inks, but I share everything I can.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
