Just ordered two more so I guess I like them! I will be switching the nibs and posting a review when I am done playing with them. The two new ones have not even shipped so it will be a while--I can not wait!!

Hello,

I would be interested by a Supreme but would need another nib size than F, M would be ok. Is this possible?

Are there any still available?

Thank you in advance for your answer.

O.K. let's go the opposite direction. Is extre fine or even EEF available? I love my Ebonite and the nib that came on it is really smooth. I would love to make it my daily workhorse but due to the forms I fill out I need a really really fine nib.

Hi, Ashish! I'd probably like to order a #1 with a Fine 14k nib (or even Extra Fine, if available). How much would this be with the gold nib?

Many thanks, Lesley

I too have just received two Ratnam Ebonite Supremes from Ashish. They are excellent pens. I love the flow and consistency of the nibs. They aren't a polished product like other brands, but then i never expected them to be. I received the an F and EF nib and can say that they run more like the Japanese nib size than german size. Ashish, I would also like a gold 14k nib if its a little more flexible. :) Thank you for your great service.

I recieved my Ratman 302 brown finish ED pen after 10 days. I really like the look and the finish of the pen. The pen is also an ideal big size and is extremely comfortable to use. The nib is a western fine and is a nice writer and holds lots of ink

I think of my FPs as my children.

Ashish, does the Ratnam 302 have an inner cap?

Edited to add: For that matter, do all these Ratnam(son?) pens have inner caps?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
