FPN-nursing students,

This is the same giveaway as last year as you may recall. If not, here are the details: If you are a continental U.S.(sorry) Nursing Student in either your associate degree or bachelor degree program working towards your RN I have pen for you. It is a brand new, never used (in fact Im awaiting its delivery now) Hero 616 Jumbo Pen with Gold Cap. Fine nib, body is black, aeromatic filler, Parker 51 clone. In addition to this, you may choose one ink from the following list and I will mail to you a 2-3ml sample of the ink for your enjoyment. Here are your choices:

Noodlers Heart of Darkness
Noodlers Dragon's Napalm
Noodlers Marine Green
Private Reserve Black Magic Blue
Private Reserve Shell Pink
Private Reserve Grey Flannel
J. Herbin Larmes de Cassis
J. Herbin Eclat de Saphir
J. Herbin Poussiere de Lune
J. Herbin Lie de The

That should about cover the spectrum. Now, I will also mail these items to you free of charge as well. There is only two things I ask of you in return: Please use the pen to help you in your studies-that is to say study hard, learn your lessons and I hope the pen can assist you with this. The second thing is when you graduate, take excellent care of your patients. That's all.

So, the first nursing student that meets the above criteria and PMs me and tells me what area of the country you go to school in, what classes you are taking and what you think of your program, gets the pen and ink mailed at no charge. I will PM back the winner. Not so bad right? See... not all nursing professors are so bad. Good luck to all of you in your careers. You are the future of our art.

Love and light,
Don

***We have a winner folks!*** Thank you for your replies.

Don't want one, but wondering if you can turn them inside out to put the velvety surface next to the pen??

Thank you, I try to encourage the students when I can. I am inspired by members like Kristi and others who give so much of themselves. This is truly a unique forum that gives so much to all of its members.

Warm Regards,

Thank you, but take it from me, nursing students need all the help and support they can get. Not only do I teach them, I was one myself!

Cheers,
Don

Hi Kristi,

The 1990 Holiday Gift pen arrived today. What a delightful surprise. The slim pen is the perfect size for my hand, particularly the narrow section. Thank you very much.

Well, this was rough! If I do this again, I'm going to give them to someone else to give away.

Bless-ed are they,
who give things away
and bless-ed are they who receive

without the largess
to they that you bless
the world would be darkened and gray

you distribute your gifts
in hopes they uplifts
a spirit that guides us the way

of your example
have we here ample
forward is where we should pay

to all of us here
your encouragement's dear
this is the thing we should do

we are too many
wanting for any
and the pens that you have are too few

the choices you make
when you undertake
to lessen the load on your desk

causes some strain
coupled with pain
and more than a bit of regret

but take it from me
I know that you'll see
that all of your effort's worthwhile

the best we can do
is forward to you
our thanks in the form of a smile

have you no worry
and be you not sorry
for happiness is what you have spread

what you have done
shines out like the sun
and delights in the way you have lead

Just joined, but I am just starting to love fountain pens so I guess I found the right place.

I went a little overboard buying lots of different inks and I really just don't like the color of waterman blue-black (way too light, maybe even greenish to me, although I am technically color blind so what do I know). The bottle is free to anyone who wants it, but major preference given to anyone in the South End of Boston for ease of exchange, as I am at the med school right now and it seems a whole lot easier to just hand off a little bottle of ink then to go to the trouble of mailing it. I have only filled my Lamy 2000 once from it so its almost completely full.

I know, its just a bottle of ink, but if someone local wants to save the $12.50 and happens to like the color of Waterman Blue-Black, then its yours. PM me.

A pack of 5 Pilot/Namiki Cartridges (Black) and a Con-50 to the first recipient who correctly answers this question.

According to Bernard Woolley, what is the difference between 'under consideration' and 'under active consideration?'
