Exquisite Handmade Wraps & Pouches by Ling

Here's some quick and dirty pics of my new wrap which arrived this afternoon. And, yes, that's a ballpoint at the far right. It's a Parker Jotter which I consider the best ballpoint in existence.

I just received my pen pouch, and I wasn't disappointed. Thank you, Nan and Ling!

Hi Nan

Just wanted to say that since receiving my wrap, I found it extremely reassuringly well made and and its also great knowing that the pens in it are well protected against the elements - as well as not having to worry about leather effects on them.

All who have seen the wrap - including non fountain pen users commented how beautiful the wrap looks.

I have to say also, I am very thankful for your patience and wonderful service in helping me decide which design and ornament because what I got finally does fulfil my needs extraordinarily well.

Rest assured I will be recommending you to anyone who are FP users!

Cheers

Harry

So nice, I ordered twice.

My first wrap was silk, this is a bit more rugged and backpack-friendly.

Same exemplary quality.

Excellent communication with Nan & Ling, this was a custom wrap.

Thanks again!

Strongly Recommended. :D

The customer service and communication were all exemplary, a great model of how a business should treat customers.

I have:

Nan and Ling,

Are you still making these? Haven't seen them bumped in a while. Anything new to see?

Thank you for bumping up this topic -- perfect timing for me to make this announcement. :)

I had been busy with word loads so I didn't come here to bump. I knew it'd affect the quality of my customer service so I'd rather stay low profile for a while. As of now I'm in the middle of moving (just purchased my first house, hooray!). Actually the truck will come tomorrow... Then after I settle down, I'll be on a road trip for three weeks and won't be back until mid-July.

In the meantime, our magician, Ling, is on summer vacation and has some inflammations on her right hand. She'll need some time to recuperate.

Conclusions --

(1) we will NOT be taking any custom order cases until further notice.

(2) Questions and orders on "available" wraps and pouches (i.e. finished works) are always welcome. But expect delay in replies.

(3) I have a yard now. :cloud9:

(4) Ling and I really appreciate your continuous support! See you all later.

Nan

Somethings remain Beautiful and constant...

Constant? CONSTANT? C_O_N_S_T_A_N_T??? You can't mean it! As great as it is, it's getting even better! I received my secon pouch and wrap and here I excerpt from my message to NAN:

The pouch is nice and wife will be happy. The wrap on the other hand is useless. I can’t use it. I had the balls/ignorance to ink 30 yrs old NIB 149 – but this jewel of Ling’s, well, it’s a totaly different league!

With some practise perhaps...

Like:

1) Dare to look at the wrap. Time to time, then daily.

2) Try to touch it with white gloves, bow deeply.

3) ...STOP: I can’t brig myself to imagine touching it barehanded.

BUMP BUMP BUMMMMP!

Today I received my 6-pen wrap, which was ordered on Sept 2nd, and shipped on Sept 6th. I'm very happy with it - the materials and the craftsmanship are both top-notch, and the process of ordering and delivery was also perfectly handled.

Thanks!

I have also found Nan and Ling to be wonderful people to work with. I have two of their wraps and I am a very satisfied customer. I give them my best recommendation for customer care and quality products. I hope Ling's inflammation heals soon. Sorry to hear about it.

Hello all! I have both Nan & Ling's Pen wrap and Pen pouch. I have finally kind of redesigned my pen collection. I have 5 pens which are my babies and ones I carry every day. I wanted a place to carry them all in one place. I have been using Nan & Ling's Pen wrap, another leather pen wrap, two pen pouches etc. etc. Well, may I be so proud and in love as to show you what I just received?

I was so happy, so thrilled that I even made it as my desktop image before I even received it so that I could see it every day before it much anticipated arrival. Well, I have my babies in the most beautiful Pen Pouch I have ever seen. Thank You Nan and Ling!! My sentiments could never match my satisfaction, pride and happiness. Be well and blessed

P.S. The pictures shown are courtesy of Nan and Ling, I have not yet been able to capture my babies in a photograph yet, I have had the pen pouch for less than 24 hours. I will update you though with a picture of my babies resting in the pouch itself.

Hello.

I was under the impression that Nan & Ling were not making Pouches any longer, based on their May 29 entry of this Thread (above), and the only remaining inventory was that shown on their PhotoBucket page.

- No?

How did you "order" this one?

I am VERY intersted in their designs, but my favorite choices all show "sold." :crybaby:

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
