In the description it said: "Comes with both original boxes, booklets, and internal fill piston. It will also accept ink cartridges."

 

Already at $740...

 

The book/papers look correct, even the pen looks ok, except the above sentence, and the convertor in the pictures...

Buyer Beware!!! I noticed another seller the other day who had a c/c Hemingway for sale, I asked him if he was sure as a piston is the way to go and he changed his description..........but this is a different person and even shows the converter in the photo - but says it also is piston filling - and that he is the original owner.

The boxes look good bit there is a secondary market in the boxes. I dont really see the ruby eyes on the snake but believe that may just be the photography as it is mentioned in the description.

 

The presence of the convertor appears to be the dead give away that this is not a collector or someone that worked with the pen extensively, I did not check the seller's feedback to verify whether he had sold may other MB LE's. Hopefully not.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..
