Just downloaded it from iTunes, I have to say it's pretty nifty. Are you supposed to trace the letter with a pen or finger? The links to lectures and articles is very cool.

I am one of the (un)fortunates not to have an iPhone or iPodTouch. Are these lessons available for those benighted souls who use Linux or Windows?

Sorry, the company owner wants to stick to hand-held devices (for now, iPhone and iPodTouch alone).

Just downloaded it from iTunes, I have to say it's pretty nifty. Are you supposed to trace the letter with a pen or finger? The links to lectures and articles is very cool.

 

Trace with a finger, or with the special (expensive) electronic stylus that you can buy for iPhones. (The screens don't work with mere pointed sticks.)

Since you like the software, Spectron, will you post a review of it on the software's App Store page? Just go there and click "Write a Review" -- write yours, then click "Submit"!

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
