Nice Baby Grand Piano

As time gets longer between jobs, bigger things have to make way. I have a nice circa 1915 Wheelock Baby Grand Piano, with beautiful dark brown finish, marvelous tone, and a great action on the keyboard. Matching bench is included. The finish is not a high gloss; neither is it a satin finish. There are a few minor dings, as it is nearly 100 years old. The bench has some more serious scratches and dings. Replacement value on it is $3,800 for insurance; I will sell it for $1,900 (half the replacement value). If you think that is still too much, make me an offer. Email me at donnie.winn@gmail.com to make an offer and/or get paypal instructions. Purchaser is responsible for moving the piano, and it will need retuning after it is moved. Payment by paypal verified prior to purchaser picking up the piano. If you are local to DFW, I will accept cash, and you might be able to get it on a BIG pickup truck. Strongly recommend a professional piano mover, as that is how I got it from San Diego to Little Elm TX. It is on the ground floor, so it won't be hard to get it to the front door. I don't recall exactly, but I think it was around $150 for that move.

Whoo, that has to be the best non-FP item I've seen for sale here on FPN. Love piano music. Had lessons from 6 years old up to (but not including -sadly) grade 8 RCM. So I make no apologies for giving this a bump. << insert thumbup emoticon here !! >>

Tomorrow is a mystery.

Today is a gift.

That's why it's called the present

Bump. I am open to offers if the $1,900 is too steep.

Price reduced to $1,500. If you think that is still too high, make me an offer.

Measured and there's no way I could fit it in my place without moving all the other furniture out, but that's gorgeous!

It's only 61" from the keyboard to the farthest point. :-)

Bump! I wish that I had the cash and a way of moving this piano up the eastern seaboard and across the border to Canada. I hope that a buyer will turn up.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
