Amir - are you starting on the POAs??

No, I will get different pens as writers.

When I feel I have enough I will decide what to do then but I willl never go for the POA as a complete set. Cant afford them. But I could see myself getting few more on top of my Pope.

Hats off for this true Meisterstück! Enjoy the moment as long as possible. Interesting to see how long you can temptate from collecting other MB's.... :-)

well done and may this one bring you lot of writing pleasure.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Its been some years since this model was released and it always struck me as one of the models that has a lot of presence because it looked so different from the rest of the WE range. Recently on a trip I chanced on a NOS box set sealed of the FP, BP and Pencil. I managed to buy it at US$1k. It was a spur of the moment and emotion overtook me instead of being rational. Its a superb looking set of three but I would have naturally preferred the single FP but beggars cant be choosers.

 

I am wondering if I over paid for it though....

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
