Montblanc Writers Edition number 17 on my WE list. The last and final pen for my collection.
Ladies and gentleman I AM DONE!!!
And I couldn't be any happier.

Every WE pen has its special and uniqueness.
Some are subtle and some not.
The Dickens is most definitely not subtle.
This pen has two most distinctive features that attract your eye to it.
The first and most obvious is the silver cap.
Its not big its HUGE, impressive and quite heavy even though not heavier then other WE's.
Once you see the pen you can get your eyes off it and for those who like the white snow flake then this pen is perfect because it houses the biggest I have ever saw.

Is it pretty though ?

Well you all know I love WE pens but I must admit the cap on this pen really is a bit too much for me. Its not hideous or ugly, I'd say its just a bit over the top.

There is a green resin ring with the serial number of the pen at the top of the cap.
The cap looks like a Greek or Roman pillar. Of course as you would expect there is 925 on the cap to show its made of Silver.

The second unique feature is its grayish green body colour.
It reminds me a bit Sheaffer Snorkel Pastel Green body. Took me some time to get used to it, not sure this would be my first colour choice but I am sure there is a good reason MB chose this colour.
Once the eye gets used to this colour I actually like it.

This pen is not working very hard on you to like her. You either do or don't.

Take the cap off and you have yet another variant to the classic domed shape MB pen. Good news because I love the way these pens sit in my hand.
These are rather slender pens compared to the fat Hemingway and Dumas with a simple and classic curved section.
It is not a heavy pen with most of its weight is at the bottom like all other WE pens because of the piston.

The nib is not overly fancy with two tone and CD letters on it.
Its a medium nib, as I always say I am a fine nib guy and most medium nibs simply don't amaze me.
I was glad to see that this nib is less wide compared to other WE's with medium nibs.
It is very smooth, wet and excellent feedback.
I am tempted to say this is my favorite medium nib out of my WE's but I must compare it to the Woolf before I will be able to pass judgment.

Like all other WE's this is a psiton filler.
The piston is smooth and takes a good amount of ink. Nothing much more to add its a wonderful classic MB piston.

Conclusion

I kept this pen to last because it is a pen with such a strong appearance. I wasn't sure how I will like it.
Of course it takes more then one day to give you 100% full answer but I like this pen.
As I said I wouldn't mind if they toned down the cap a little but no doubt this is an unique and impressive pen that is a wonderful writer.

Need to add to my surprise this pen went up in popularity lately. I had the chance to get it for less then 600$ in the past but now these pens go for much more.

Tzutzik is ecstatic to have all the WE family and was happy to add this last pen.
He thinks the cap is great but that's so much like him. He always had a flare to drama that cat.

goodguy,

congratulation for your achievement.
I think that your enthusiasm and determination is an example for us.
For sure it is for me. I feel I am like you: no pen friends in the real life whit whom sharing my passion, I spend a lot of time here and I enjoy the pen talks, the feedbacks and the spirit of the forum.

Best,

Congrats, Goodguy!
+ 1 for family pic and writing samples. Family pic would optionally include both pen family and human family...
It is fascinating to see how elusive the colour of the barrel is - in your photos it looks like a mixture of teal and blue. In QM2s pics it almost looks green.
Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm!

Congratulations on finishing your collectiong, Goodguy!

I really like reading your reviews. You offer the readers a good look at the pens, and they are very amusing too. Being a poor student, this is probably the closest I will come to the WE pens for the coming years, but I would like to own one at some point.

BTW, I'm not a cat person, but your cat is way cool!

Greetings,

Zekay

Would be interesting!!!! What did she get in the bargain, lol.

I would love to see the group photo and which ones stand out for him, both from a writing perspective and then just the sheer aesthetic of their beauty.
