What ink(s) are you waiting for in the mail?

Oh? I didn't realise someone had added Iridescink Maureen to the box's contents. :)

Diamine Jalur Gemilang seems to have been a bit of a hit, and I still like it very much, but now that I've received a 80ml of bottle of Diamine Smoke on the Water earlier this month, I think I'll hold off replenishing what I have of DJG for now, and hopefully Pen Gallery in Malaysia will still have stock of it later along with colours in the Sailor Studio Ink line that I want, to make the order amount threshold for free international delivery!

You’re right, I was confused. I tried it at a friend’s house in NZ.

I’ve been looking for Smoke on the Water. Who has that?

I bought mine from fountainfeder.eu.

I'm waiting on 3 Monteverde inks.....

Another 90ml bottle of Horizon Blue (I'm using it in all of my work pens), a 30ml bottle of Copper Noir and a 30ml bottle of California Teal. I'm not very adventurous when I comes to inks, but these look interesting.

Two Parker 57ml blue washable bottles and two Waterman purple 50ml bottles from EndlessPens, for which USPS has managed to mangle the shipping.

They left Ybor City on the 24th, heading for Houston. They were supposed to be delivered on the 28th. Then they didn't show up, although they were still scheduled for a delivery on the 28th - even on the 29th. Suddenly, late on the 29th, it reverted to being 'in transit' on the 28th. (I wish they'd quit doing retroactive updates by deleting the original schedule). Then it showed up in Atlanta, Ga, at the distribution center on the 30th, and is currently showing as being 'on the way' to the destination. At this point, I'm wondering what state they'll visit next. The last time something like this happened, my Rolls Razor never showed up - lost or stolen in transit.

I also have three bottles of fluorescent highlighter ink coming from Pens N' More out of Illinois.

Iroshizuku Take-sumi, Robert Oster Motor Oil, and Platinum Pigmented Sepia. I just bought a bottle each of Herbin Vert de Gris and Oster Velvet Storm, and love both.

I like dark inks that are slightly tinted and don't compete for attention with the text.

I just ordered a bottle of Jacques Herbin 1798 Kyanite du Népal from Goulet, along with a sample set of sheening inks. So much for my resolution to stop buying pens, inks, and paper as I already have a life time supply of practically everything. But, I'm collecting the J.Herbin 1670 and 1798 series. I can't just skip one, right?

I'm in Tennessee. I just ordered Noodler's Monkey Hanger from Pure Pens in the UK. Was pretty expensive so I opted for standard airmail no tracking. GASP....GROAN...... FROWN....

A month's wait is what Mr. Google told me.

A MONTH!!!! I'm use to amazon prime where two days is excessive......

Oh well, that's what I have in the mail....

Ordered Troublemakers "Kelp Tea" and "Petrichor".

Made an impulse purchase on these two, along with Abalone and Milky Ocean. They look extremely interesting.

Should get Diamine Grey, Sailor Chu-shu, PenBBS #111 Shanghai, Taccia Sora, and Taccia Murasaki in this week.

I was debating with myself about buying more Diamine shimmer inks after writing with the arctic blue and magical forest. It gave me so much joy to write with those and look at my writing the next day.

Tried to hold of the purchase, reminding myself that I don't *need* more ink.

Then this morning an unexpected death happened in my friend circle. I can use some joy right now. Ordered not an hour later.

So tomorrow I'll be testing out night sky, golden sands and dragons blood.

At least it's only ink and not that expensive.. right?

I came across Swedish Rosendahl's green ink at half-off the original price and swept it up. It is unclear what is the bottle size, though my best guess is 50 ml. I am very excited to have another vintage ink in my collection!

Another purchase I am awaiting are two 30 ml bottles of Diamine Blue Black. Once I am at work or at my offie, I am always wanting an ink from my house, so I bought two bottles of ink along with two empty De Aramentis 35 ml bottles. I plan to decant the Diamine Blue Black into the De Aramentis bottles and leave one at my place of work and another at my office.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
