Just ordered a couple of German exclusive Diamine inks from www.fountainfeder.eu . The have a great range, reasonable prices for most inks, and most importantly, very reasonable international shipping rates - 4 Euros to Australia for two bottles. The inks are November Rain and Skull and Roses.

Now, for the hard part. Waiting and deciding what pens to ink up first.

Just realized that Kuroneko Yamato also do international logistic service.

Thought they're Japanese internal market only.

Alright, I'll admit to my shame. After saying, “No more inks!” when I've just recently completed a sample card for each of my (different) bottled inks and was astounded to see that I already have fifty, I ordered:

  • one more 50ml bottle of Sailor Nano kiwa-guro (in the new retail packaging and different shaped bottle from what I already have),
  • one more 50ml bottle of Sailor Nano sei-boku (in the new retail packaging and different shaped bottle from what I already have),
  • three 50ml bottles of Sailor Nano sou-boku,
  • one 50ml bottle of Sailor Jentle oku-yama (reissue, not the original 2010 Limited Edition),
  • one 80ml bottle of Diamine Red Dragon,
  • one 80ml bottle of Diamine Oxblood,
  • one 80ml bottle of Diamine Green-Black,
  • one 80ml bottle of Diamine Sherwood Green, and
  • one 80ml bottle of Diamine Evergreen.

Just got two new iroshizuku inks, waiting on two new PenBBS colors.

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)

I just received the MB Beatles Purple ink - haven't used it yet.

And I am eagerly awaiting a chance to go mad at this store in Krakow when I go next week because I've seen floor to ceiling bottles of ink and I cannot wait!

Yamato transport does deliver overseas, but extremely expensive. FedEx and DHL May end up being cheaper.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
