Hi folks,

Much appreciated for the information, very thorough George...

Looks like I gonna have to get my FPN counterparts in the USA to be shipping me goods as gift!

Moby

May I point out that PenGallery is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia?

I just got notice that my Anthracite shipped (sorry Kristi!).

I ordered mine on Monday after returning to work and finding that my m200 clear demonstrator had been swiped from my desk! My own fault for leaving in the pen holder and not locking it in a drawer. Interestingly, I went through Google to find Pelikan demos and found PenGallery, and just noticed this thread today. Glad I did, or I'd S.O.L. :).

Hopefully, I'm not Lemming #4!

Cheers!

I got an email from Pen Gallery saying that they had located another anthracite (broad nib, but I can deal with that). They're shipping on Friday! :clap1:

I am getting my Anthracite after all as well! Not from Pen Gallery, but from another FPN member -- thank you to those who contacted me : )))

Not for me or for you, probably yes for Moebius.

My M200 in Anthracite arrived on Thursday, less than one week from Kuala Lumpur to Small Town, USA. It was carefully packed in the original box with papers (Pelikan guarantee stamped by Pen Gallery).

In short, one satisfied customer of the Pen Gallery here!

I noticed this price at Pen Gallery, and it seems like a good deal to me--on May 3, one of these in Anthracite sold for $148.49 + $12.00 shipping on eBay. (Someone really wanted that little gray plastic pen!)

No affiliation with seller; just thinking about buying my first Pelikan.

I concur that Pen Gallery is a good and reputable seller. Shipping is a bit high due to their location, but the clearance sales they have once in a while are phenomenal. (Check out the deal on the Lamy 2000, as well!)

I tried to buy one and they sent me an email saying they were all sold out -- this was yesterday morning.

Time will say nothing but I told you so.

I got an email this morning with DHL tracking number- they're on the way! :clap1:

I'm glad to hear that, Kristi, I certainly didn't want any  feelings!

I checked my shipping info, and it looks like the pen has arrived in Boston and will hopefully be at my door when I get home :vbg: . It was actually rather fun to track the progress of the pen from Kuala Lumpur...I guess I need to get out a bit more .

I have never dealt with Pen Gallery before, but seeing mrwh1609's post makes me very reassured. Given the price (and the fact I had to replace the stolen pen), made me take the plunge. Looks like I'll have to keep an eye on their clearance sales.

Cheers!

Finally he said, "Well, the hours are good..."

..."So the hours are pretty good then?" [Ford] resumed.

The Vogon stared down at him as sluggish thoughts moiled around in the murky depths.

"Yeah," he said, "but now you come to mention it, most of the actual minutes are pretty lousy."

Yes, me too- this was an amazing price for these pens!

I have to confess I've checked the tracking already too...

I was too slow to snag an M200 as I couldn't make up my mind whether to add other orders! :headsmack: But I've ordered two other pens for a good price. Thank you, mrwh1609, for the tip off!

The tracking on this order is fascinating- I wish I were so well traveled!

I wish I could get that direct flights like that! Maybe it is quicker to sit in a box and get myself express mailed to my destinations?

DHL tried to deliver to my home yesterday (I wasn't there). Pretty amazing- Malaysia to Catawba, Virginia (way off the beaten trail!), from Friday to Monday. (The DHL courier is bringing them to my work address today.)

Couldn't agree more.

I oredered a red one on Wednesday 13th and it arrived in London on the morning of 15th.

Really nice pen - my first Pelikan - writes extremely well very pleased with it and a great bargain. Wish that I had bought a couple more while they still had them.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
