Gallery of all the Bespoke CS that has been ordered recently

I talked earlier about adding a web page devoted to sharing images of the bespoke ordered pens so I thought that one way would be if you post your bespoke images on a facebook page that I have created. That way, with the permission of the image owner, I can then save the file for making a web page.

This is just a suggestion and is not meant in any way to take away activity from FPN, as the purpose of this idea is to have a placement for bespoke CS pens for people to see that do not have an account set up with FPN.

Once I have enough images, I can separate them by colour // model for the final web page.

Kind regards,

Mary

Sounds like a great idea, Mary...

Have one question though...

Does one need to have a facebook account in order to post on your page?

If so, then I wouldn't be able to post, although I could email you some pics for posting...

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

I believe you may need an account, however, if you don't have one, then by all means fee free to send me your image and I will post it on your behalf.

Please title the subject header in the email, 'Facebook - Conway Stewart' to help me identify your message once it arrives.

With kind regards,

Mary

Mary,

I was under the impression that people can only load photos to their own Facebook account, so I'm not sure it would work the way you're thinking it would. Am I perhaps missing something or not understanding?

Hi,

I have adjusted the settings so that CS fans can post pictures & comments on the wall. Please, give it a try and let me know if it works for you.

Mary, do you want only "bespoke" pen images or any Conway Stewart pens?

Hi,

There are no limitations for themed images of Conway Stewart pens, however I wanted to save the bespoke images for use under a 'CS Bespoke page' so we can all appreciate the amount of different resins available.

Please, post your image, it should be fun!

With kind regards,

Mary

  • 2 years later...

Sorry to resurect a thread from the dead, but are there any plans by CS to do another promotion like this (ie. bring back Dinkies, Dandies, Duros and 58s from the dead)?

I think I've just spent way too long on this thread's pictures and the lust is unbearable...

Too many pens; too little writing.

I'd also like to see another run of the 58's. Any chance of them coming back, or at least being made available through the bespoke program?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
