Mont Blanc Meisterstuck Watch

Recommended Posts

Here for sale is a classy Mont Blanc Meisterstuck watch in black and gold!

I'm selling this as it it was bought for my wife around ten years ago but it never really had any use and I'm hoping to buy my wife a Cartier watch for her upcoming birthday!

It has a black face with gold digits and hands, it states MONTBLANC in small gold letters, classy. :)

On one side it states MONT BLANC with an adjuster with a Mont Blanc emblem on it, see pictures.

On the other side it says Meisterstuck.

The watch is in excellent condition due to light use with only a small bit of surface scratches on the back of the watch.

It has a black crocodile leather strap, it says CROCO GRAIN 12R on the reverse of the leather, this isn't the original strap as the strap was replaced (if I recall correctly) a few years back.

The click has the usual gold trimmings.

This is a beautiful watch and is not to miss, I'm happy to post internationally for no charge.

Not looking for much, I will consider all offers as long as they are reasonable.

Happy to trade for a pen!

The sale is for the pen, I can't find the papers unfortunately but I took the watch to a reputable Edinburgh jeweller and was told that is it definitely genuine!

I've got the box somewhere, I've definitely seen it around the house so presume it is included in the sale!

This cost a fortune when I bought it in London and this watch needs a new home!

On the back it states

MONT

BLAN

MEISTERSTUCK

STAINLESS STEEL

PL14991

7006

Pix

WATER RESISTANT 30 M - SWISS MADE

Though this watch is rather small and is intended to be for a lady, you could get away with wearing it as an unisex garment.

Here are the photographs

Apologies in advance for my extremely poor photography skills!

Thanks for looking

Well, the face of the watch is about the size of a 10 pence coin, it's about a centimeter thick, it's a little heavy, due to gold plating.

Gold plating has nothing to do with the weight. The amount of gold there is neglegable.

Is this an auto or a quartz ?

As I need a quick sale

I would happily accept £250, this includes a Mont Blanc Meisterstuck Fountain Pen (144) to match the watch.

I'll take it, with the pen :) if you can accertain the watch is indeed automatic.

Stay well,

Solomon

Edited to add: You can check if the movement is auto by looking as the second hand. If it moves in jumps it is quartz. If the movement is smooth and sweeping it is auto.

As watch was confirmed to be quartz I have decided not to go through with the purchase.

A bump for you Smythson. Hope you find a buyer soon.

Stay well,

Solomon

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
