Hi again...

This time I tried to review the most outstanding pen that Delta launched just at the end of 2005, the

Follow the above link and enjoy. Quite a number of pictures may slow a bit the page, but they are well worth the wait.

I think Delta Venezia is the reason for this pen not to be Delta's Venezia

I find it very special, and beside Venezia it has no reason to feel inferior, it is just on the same level.

Hey Kev, if you continue writing with your head you will need urgent neurosurgicopsicyatric assistance!!! :ltcapd:

Thanks for the comments. It is always good to start with the good ones, it makes it easier. The level on this one is very high indeed, it is not a Maki-e but it is stunning celluloid, just another story...

Hola Jose:

I thought I told you not to post any more Delta reviews for a while.

I believe you want me to turn up like Winedoc, in need of psychiatric services!

Enjoy your beautiful pens!

Saludos,

Jose,

Thanks for the review.

I saw the Delta Vatican Jubilee pen at a pen shop recently.

Amazing detail on that one.

Amazing price tag too.

No problem Pedro, I'm just finishing my degree in penpsychiatrology. I will give you an appointment shortly ... :ltcapd:

Jeen, when price tags are too high I keep also away unless I really love the pen for one or other reason. I have not every Delta, in fact I think I have maybe about 1/3rd of them represented in my collection. As I started late, there are some of them which I really like and that are still missing and will continue like that for a good while. Among them I still have in my wanted list the Julius Caesar, Pompei Rep. Marinare... among others, but all that needs a healthy pen purse and mine now is a bit

Jose,

After reading your review, I went out to buy the pen. Mine is 038-750. I love its mesmerizing colour. Looks good enough to eat!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
