Was in Daly's in Milwaukee today...

I am visiting family in Milwaukee this week, and for the first time in years am not dealing with ailing and dying parents. So I had a chance to visit Daly's, which in the Grand Avenue mall in downtown. Basically, they've always been there, but the mall was built in a couple of old old downtown buildings over them. They moved into the second floor from their original site, some years ago, but the mall is clearly failing and is sad. The store itself no longer has its old-time feel. I treated my daughter, who is starting to like using a fp (my purple levenger demo), to a bottle of PR Naples Blue, so there's hope there at least.

that's sad. i lived in milwaukee for three years while working on my PhD, and visited daly's at the grand avenue mall now and then, mainly just to look (couldn't afford much on my grad student's income). that mall was a truly grand and thriving center in its prime, and the "old" part of it was historical; the macarthurs used to live there.
