Bought a 51 recently from Benj. Vac fill, double jewell, silver cap, blue diamond.....dents in cap. Asked Benj to send directly to Daniel K.
It arrived back in beautiful shape and now I have just discovered that the date code is for 2nd quarter 1948. Just when I was being born !
How the hell did Parker know ? Did they have geneticists pre-programming potential customers ?
Anyoldhow it is BEAUTIFUL Thanks folks. tongue.gif

How about a picture? I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to see it.

Finally BTW the brassing is just my bad photography smile.gif

and here's the 'Before' of the cap (easy to see how I am impressed):

Wow, that's great. Is it expensive to have that kind of work done?

I was very pleasantly surprised at the price.
You'll forgive me for not being more specific but
a. I'm not sure whether it would be polite to discuss Daniel's prices (suffice it to say I'm delighted)
b. Daniel would probably need to see what you had in order to give you a quote

You could drop him a mail at kirchh@trilon.com

Usual disclaimer - just a VERY happy customer

Ruaidhri,

Nice pen, double jewel vac "51" with a silver cap and a Blue Diamond, ticks all the boxes for me biggrin.gif

Very nice restoration job, those caps are a real beast to fix. Nice alternative to the polished version that Ralph Prather does.
