Does anyone have any thoughts about the Parker Sonnet Fougere (sterling silver)? What would be a fair price for this pen in today's market? When was this pen manufactured? Is it safe to put the pen (minus the nib section in a silver cleaning solution or would the gold colored metal clip and band as well as the circular black inlaid areas on the top of the cap and bottom of the pen corrode? Any information would be appreciated!

I don't know what this pen would cost today, but I own one and love it. Market rates are from $150-250, per eBay.

The Fougere makes a good grip. Silver stays very clean if held often.

Don't put then cap in a cleaning solution, while the body is sterling, the clip is plated steel or brass. Just rub the pen with a baking soda solution or a silver cleaning rag. I think this is the principle fault of the pen, they use precious metals on the body, then use a cheap clip. I have seen rust leak out of the clip. The nib is 18k gold.

The Fougere ceased production, I don't know when, sometime before 2000.
