Are there converters for the Rotring core pens?

I was thinking that, when filled with a Noodlers eternal ink, this pen would make a good check signing pen for my checks with the carbon copy sheets.

Yes there are. Your Core should have come with one. If it didn't you can order them from Levinger. It takes the international size or universal.

Stephen,
Send me your address and I will send you a Core Convertor... I have plenty of them.

In Europe Cores seem to come in a blister pack just with cartridges, no converter.

So when we buy from one of those seemingly awesome-deal reliable vendors on Ebay, and they include the box and papers but no converter, they are really putting the converter in their pocket?

I'm still a bit miffed that mine didn't come with one even though the seller told me it would. But then again, she was miffed that I left neutral feedback telling everyone about that. Oh sob, she'll really miss that one extra point to add to her other 10,000. Why are people such feedback snobs? (Never mind, that's a whole OTHER topic!!)

Does the Rotring Core perform well with the Noodler's eternals? I've noticed that some of my pens don't behave well with them. One of my three Sensa Meridians doesn't like Eternal Brown, and my Phileas doesn't like Iraqi Indigo.

I'm still stoked about the XS nib and ultra-reliable feed on the Core. I'd love to venture into Eyedropper-land with this pen, but I think that is an impossibility, right?

All the ones here in the states should be coming with a convertor... now that being said, I picked up a bunch of Cores at Big Lots and not all had a convertor. But they are not a dealer.

Send me your address and I will send you a convertor, are you beginning to use your core? You hated it when you first got it. I offered you a convertor a while back but you never responded, let me know if you want one.

Hi,

Yours came from Europe without a converter if I am not mistaken.

I would surmise that a lot of the ones in the US are coming from Europe anyway...

Johnny, PM sent, but for the eyes of everyone else:

Yes, I use my Core a lot for a few reasons. It writes the finest (and most consistently fine, and wettest-per-fineyness) of any of my pens. It's an XS nib, by the way. I just got a Hero 930 cheapie that writes similarly like an extra-fine, but this comparison bolsters my use of the Core. I also like the way the cap snaps. I understand why people dislike snap caps, but the snap-cap on the Core has not opened up accidentally, nor is it difficult to open. I'm also getting the hang of placing my fingers on the grip, which is becoming more comfortable. (A gripe, though: you can't really begin writing with it until you rotate the pen to the right pace to grip it. Other pens take less time to begin writing because you can comfortably hold them crooked and then twist it into place as you write...)

It's mostly used for when I need to write in small places... But with an Eternal ink, it might become my labwork pen, as I drip liquid on lots of things (often water or ethanol on my gloves! or from drinking so much tea!) and i really can't have my datasheets smearing. Nor my lab notebook

Now, how about that Galileo ink?!!!

PS: I posted a picture of my Core on this other Rotring Core thread so that you can see the orange weird plastic piece that dislodges the cartridges (and makes a mess!)
