I just received this in the mail today, and in my opinion, it's one of the coolest 200s I've seen. I got if off the Green Board a while ago, and apparently, the color was made specifically for a German phone company. Not a very good picture, but I thought I'd share anyway since I know many around hear are 200 fans. The colors are beautiful and bright in person - a marbly gray/silver and a bright rose/pink. As expected, it's also a great writer with an unplated medium nib.

yup - this is one of my favorites, Ryan. The Telekom M200. Noodler's Saguaro wine is a perfect match to the magenta swirls. I got mine just before they started getting hard to find so I got a pretty good deal compared to prices I've seen lately. Again, it's that pre-97 styling that adds to the appeal of the pen, IMO.

Glad you were able to snag one off the board. I just wish like all heck that I'd bought the full set I saw on-line a couple of years ago. Pen, pencil and ballpoint.

Beautiful pen and Saguaro Wine is so beautiful! It's almost similar to PR Plum, which I have.

*ahem*

I am still lusting after one of those, and I swear I'll get it this spring.

Love it, just love it. The Deutsche Telekom M200 is the best of the bunch I think. Coming close is the grey marbled. Velma's post of a picture of one inspired me to make that my first 200 when one came around on the green board. Congrats on the pretty new pen.

Wow that is so cool I have not seen any color out of the 200s like that

Hi I'm new to the Pelikan flock, always been more of a Parker man. Decided to see what all the fuss was about, now I can't stop thinking about Pels. I happened to see this one that I have to have, are they still available, or have i missed the boat? Anyone have an extra or used one that they want to sell?

What a beautiful pen! Congrats!

Another picture of the Telekom. The year of production was 1994.

does somewhat resemble telephone cables huh ?
Velma
Regina Martini has that design for about $90, or had them earlier this year when I emailed her: http://www.martini.business.t-online.de/ and regina.martini@t-online.de

I had planned to get one in the spring, before my health took the downturn. If I don't find a dream pen when I go to the Long Island Pen Show, I shall write her again, and order one, because as it is, I will be doing unsightly drooling at Richard's, if he's still using it as a nib demonstrator at his table. drool.gif

Only somewhat - the magenta is just that - very bright magenta. Not as red as these pics appear on my monitor. And of course, it varies from pen to pen, I don't think mine looks quite as uniformly striated.

the color is not too far from this - a Formosa Azalea from my previous home.

Ouch! Well, they are obviously in more demand and less supply than when i bought.

Glad I bought when I did! Because I don't think I'd be able to resist now even at that price.
