I received a writing sample of PR Plum yesterday and it is one of the most beautiful colors I've seen for fountain pen! Since it's along the lines of red and purple, I wanted to ask is this a big stainer for pens or is it pretty safe? What are your other comments about this ink and where can I get the cheapest PR inks? Thanks so much!

just go to Providence, there's an office supply store that sells them $7.50 . I don't know if that's cheap but I think it's cheaper than Pendemonium. I have a bottle of Plum I'm afraid to try for staining. I forgot if it stained or not. huh.gif

nah, normal stores here are 7.60 anyway. I have a feeling it's a big-time stainer, but oh it looks so pretty. You gotta try it Slush!

It does look so pretty. blink.gif I don't have a pen to fill it with. Never mind, I'll check to see if the bottle is stained. blink.gif

I wouldnt use it in clear demonstrators or white pens such as the Pelikan M400 White honey tortoise shell pen. Plum is one of my favorite purple colors but I have to becareful with what pens I use it with. As with most purples and reds, they do stain.
