I have been unable to find direct comparisons between the two colors, but from all the sites I have visited they seem veeeeeery similar, so I am wondering if they perhaps are the same color and was put into production due to the popularity of Tropical Blue. If there is anyone out there with both colors, or even another example of the Mediterranean Blue, please post them.

I know that Yard O Led uses Diamine ink and thats why a lot of stores quit selling Yard O Led ink. You get more for your money with Diamine. I know that the Diamine Tropical Blue is the same as the Yard O led Blue, If I remember correctly.

Tropical blue is a wonderful color that flows like vintage ink does. So does All of Diamine ink.

Dunno, but would really like to know that Diamine took that great step of making Tropical Blue a regular color.

I have both inks and a new glass pen. smile.gif This is a good opportunity to try it out ...

Definitely not the same -- tropical blue is a lighter shade. Aha, I see the issue. Pendemonium's "Ink Facts" page has Yard-o-Led Royal Blue (pre-2002 ish) equal to tropical blue, but the current royal blue equal to Diamine royal blue.

I recently purchased the Yard-O-Led from Swisher. On the box and bottle it says just "Blue" without the "royal", but on the store's sticker it says "Royal Blue".

(Wow, this glass pen is nifty. Very easy just to wipe off and try another ink.)
