Hi,
I find myself a proud owner of four Pelikan FPs--that's 4 pens in just over 6 weeks. I think I caught the Pelikan Acquisition Syndrome. Anyway, just curious to how many Pelikans you have in your private collection? By the way, I might have my 5th on the way--the Piazza Navona FP!

Yes Jack, I too seem to be in the acute phase of Pelikan Acquisition Syndrome (PAS). In the last few months I've acquired:
- M75 Go
- M200
- Vintage M400
- M620 (Piccadilly Circus)
- M1000
- And an M800 on the way (Maybe today
9 )
I hope the chronic phase will reduce this rate considerably.

Hi,
Ok, I have one M200, an M300, and a L65, and MC120. I hope to have a Silver Level 5 for investigation and close questioning soon.

Those Pelikans do sneak up on you.
A few M75's
M400 - Green Stripe
M200 with Tortoise Binder nib
400NN Tortoise
M300 - green stripe
and my brand new M320!!! B'day present from my brother. Just got it back from Chartpak for a nib exchange. Didn't even ink it yet!! Trying to decide what ink. Leaning towards Noodler's Cayenne.

Ain't that the truth...
I've tried to assemble a representative selection of modern and vintage Pelikans, with the oldest a 1929 first year pen (pre-100) and the newest (on order) a Rossi 800N (although that one's not technically a Pelikan).

Just the one at the moment (a humble black M200 that's been taken to new levels by a Pelikan calligraphy nib). But it's my birthday before too long, and I'm hoping for a white/tortoiseshell M400. If anyone asks, I'll just have to say that KCat's avatar drove me to it.

M200 green marble
M200 blue marble old style (Yeah! Thanks, Griz)
M200 grey marble old style
M200 Telekom grey and magenta marble old style
M120 solid black - 1950/60s school pen
M400 blue stripe
M400 White Tortoise
M600 Piazza Navona
wow - how'd that happen?
of these - i think the White torty is the most striking with the Piazza Navona at a close second. But I love them all.
Along the way I've sold an M250 blue/black which was nice but too conservative for me. And recently sold an M200 green translucent after a couple of years of thinking about it. Perfectly good pen - just didn't seem to find its way into my hand often enough to justify keeping it. So - i have eight but could have had 10. oh, and I have a Future somewhere! I've actually considered selling the 120 but it's the only vintage Pel I have so until a 100 or 400 falls in my lap, I suspect I won't sell it.

I've got two M200s (one amber, one red)
A M320 (with a Mottshaw'd flexible cursive italic - I am *so* in love with this pen.)
A 1950's 140
A Pelikan Steno (that got dropped and needs to go to someone to get smoothed back out, but it's not a high priority)
.. I think that's it.
Though I have the feeling that I'm probably forgetting one.

My Pels in the order accumulated:
M200 - I lost this one
M250 - I pretty much ruined this one trying to fix the nib
M400 white tortoise - traded this to Apollo
M800 red with EF nib - love it!
M605 blue - off to Chris Burton for a binde
M800 green - off to Richard for stubbery
100N - off to Chris Burton for a binde

Right now . . . .

. Just call me "heretic."
Had 3 - two M200s which I sold as they were too small for me and weren't getting used and an M800 that I just never seemed to bond with. All were great pens.

I have:
200 old-style silver/gray marble
200 newer-style sea green marble (which my mother will get this weekend. She grew up writing with FP's in Germany, and after watching me obsess over pens has decided she'd like one for letter writing! A new/old convert!)
400 green stripe (a present from my mom after her trip to Germany last autumn)
What a difference the gold broad nib makes!

***A plug here, for the GREAT customer service at Chartpack Pelikan repair! The gray 200 just came back with a new piston mechanism, no charge for anything, and the turnaround was less than a week!!! They even replaced a gold ring that was missing from the filler cap. Another reason why Pel-owners are so happy!

I caught the Pelikan bug this past November. I'm not 100% certain but I think I have:
M200 Amber
Pelikan 400 Tortiose Shell
Pelikan 400N and Pencil Tortiose Shell
Pelikan 400N Tortiose Shell
Pelikan 400NN Tortiose Shell
Pelikan 400NN and Pencil Tortiose Shell
Pelikan M400 Black
Pelikan M400 Fountain Pen, Rollerball, Pencil set in Green.
Pelikan M450 Tortiose Shell and Gold (2 of these)
Pelikan M600 in Blue
Pelikan M800 in Red
I thhik that I may have an M800 coming in a few days that is Green.
I love the way they write. The Pelikan pens are beautiful, reliable, smooth writing works of art.

I could never have too many Pelikans, and I certain don't have enough now. But here's the list:
Vintage Tortoise 400NN
Black m215
Blue m605
Rose/Gray m200 (I just purchased this from the GB - apparently the color was made for a German company, and it's pretty unique from the standard Pelikan colors).
Still to buy:
m800/5 - Either green stripe 800, blue stripe 805 or plain black with either trim
Vintage 400 - green stripe

Not much, really:
m600 in all black, M nib
m250 in all black, M nib (yes, I like black pens with M nib, call me boring...)
m200 green traslucent, M nib
All three are superb writers. Also have a very old Pelicano, F or M nib, not sure...
Would like one day a 100N and a m400 (in black, but maybe with an oblique nib...)

Leaving out the stock I have for sale, I own 16 complete Pelikan pens. 13 are M200s that I use nib demonstrators at shows, 2 are M200s that are in regular use on my repair bench (as nib testers), and 1 is this 1936-vintage 100, the only Pelikan that's actually in my collection.

I've fallen in love with the M625...

...but I have been warned by SWMBO that I can't have one.

Six FPs for me, and I don't think I have stopped.
M800-old style Black(14ct. B nib) made in "West Germany." Owned since late 1980s currently being made by Richard into an "Itali-Fine."
M800-old style Green (18ct. F nib) "Germany." Owned since early 1990s.
M800-new style Blue (Monteshaw cursive Italic nib) bought just this year on Green Board.
M600-old style Black (M 18 ct. nib) "West Germany." oldest Pelikan, and one of my best and most abused pens of all time. (I take it on long bicycle trips, and lent it out to friends for extended periods) Nib always starts immediately even if left unattended for weeks and weeks.
M600-old style Green (M 18 ct. nib) "Germany." Bought last year on E-bay.
M200-Burgundy (14 ct. Flex nib) bought this year from Richard. (I did switch nibs so that the M600 Green currently has the flex nib.)
Love them all, and consider it the best brand I ever owned.

I'm thinking about a vintage Pelikan for my next special pen purchase. I think I need to try one out, so it'll have to wait until after the Raleigh show.

1. M805 (Blue)
2. M605 (Blue)
3. M620 Chicago
4. M215 (Blue)
5. M750 (on the way)
And I'll have that M625 and M420 sometime soon!

After promising myself I would buy a lot of new pens, I'm the proud owner of:
GO M75
GO P70(c/c version)
Steno
M200 Transparent Green with newly-ground cursive italic nib
Pelikano (old style I think)
and a vintage 140 that's just wonderful...
and just flew in today......
M605!
This is in chronological order and I can't help noticing that, generally, the cost goes up with each new pen--a dangerous trend!!
Planning to have fun with the new one this weekend.

Thanks for the great responses! i just realized i started this thread but forgot to list the Pelikans I own:
M200 Translucent Blue, Med Nib
M405 Blue Stripes F nib (i later bought the matching BP and pencil--k405, d405)
M400 Red Stripes OM nib (currently my favorite. love the way the red stripes shine!)
M425 Translucent Green w/ silver cap---my wife and I have joint custody on this!
..and just today i placed an order for the M400 white tortoise in EF nib. Just could not resist viewing all those pics and avatars i see here in the forum. It was a toss-up between that and the Piazza Navona. It all boiled down to budget.
I think that will be it for the next several months i think. But then my birthday is in august...

I was going to reply that I have several Pelikans:
M200 Red/Grey
M200 Blue
M200 "Citron" (in the book)
M215 Black/silver rings
M400 Green Stripe
M400 Brown Tortoise
M620 Shanghai
M620 Piazza Navona
P22 Culture (OK, it's a "fun" pen)
Then I went to the Southeast Pen Show yesterday. Added:
M620 Madrid (for $200)
M620 Piccadilly Circus (for $210)
400 NN Tortoise Stripe with a nice flexible nib
Came home. Wife (SWMBO -- good term) said she would go back to the show today with me, but NO PURCHASES.
We did. Wife spotted an M620 Stockholm right away, talked the seller down to $175. She told me to buy it. I did.
Told me I couldn't buy an immaculate 100...but I did get the seller's card.
Good weekend for Pelikans.

and still further trouble.
I have no urge for a new pen.
but - if I need a fix, I'm afraid it will have to be yet another Pelikan. I keep trying to branch out into other realms (I still lack a "standard" Japanese pen - that is, not a VP). But then, talk of Pelikans pulls me back in.

Recently acquired a M215 Blue and a M400 Tortoise. I definitely see more Pelikans (maybe a M6XX and a bunch of M2XX) in the future, but first I must complete the Tortoise set with a mechanical pencil (for crosswords and sudoku) and a bp for checkwriting.

Started on Pelikans with a 400NN - green/black from Savas. Got the hunger.
Added an 800 Souveran - green/black, from Elizabeth Herreid on PT.
Picked up a GO from Dov then a white/tortoise 400 Souveran from Jeff Peirce.
The last suffered from a terminal case of "oooooo that's a lovely pen" and was captured by Management (long may she put up with me).
Can't make up my mind which I like best - leaning towards the 800.
Have to say - the "51" is still king.

I've acquired 3 Pelikans in the last 3 weeks:
White Honey M400, 14K Extra Fine nib.
Green M300, 14K Fine nib.
Special M200 Clear Demonstrator from the year 2000, 14K Fine nib.
That will be all for Pelikans for me - the rest are too big for my hand.

A M450 would be sweet one day...but it's a bit beyond the normal budget!
