This came in the mail on Saturday, and I haven't been able to put it down since. For such a huge pen, I can't believe how well it fits my hand and how long I can write without ever feeling tired. It's an absolutely amazing pen! Mine has the soft medium nib, which is nicely responsive and puts down a beautiful, smooth, wet line. A pretty luxurious pen by my standards smile.gif

I'm here to please smile.gif

Not a good photo though, sorry:

Very nice pen, Ryan. Good looking nib too. Any chance for a closup of the nib? drool.gif

Thanks guys! Here's a nibshot:

Actually, I think that the Danitrio is somewhat closer to the camera than the Pelikan, so it appears even larger than it is. Or is it really that big?

Nope - they actually look like that in real life. The Mikado nib is ENORMOUS blink.gif

The picture has the Mikado nib a bit closer only because the section is thicker than the m215 - thus raising the nib a little. But really, the difference is that significant when you're just looking at the two pens. I did some cropping/zooming of the picture, so I was a decent distance from the nibs to start with.

This pen is so sweet :bunny1:

I've also got a Hanryo that I love, but it made a visit to Kev for a nib/feed adjustment. Should be an awesome writer when I get it back though - a nice daily-carry size.

Awesome pen! I just got a Densho and am enjoying it. Thanks for the wonderful pics.

Very nice indeed, Ryan!

Your handwriting is indeed very pretty too. And I love the nib shot... biggrin.gif

Thank you very much for sharing!

Warm regards, WIm

Thanks for you kindness everyone. And thanks for a forum to let me share my excitement a little blush.gif

Congrats Ryan!!!

I love My Flat top Mikado too. Only difference is that mine is a prototype without the clip. At the show, I was going to pick up my regular clipless mikado when Kevin offered the flat top to me instead. He know that I was going to like it better instead!! Darn right he was!! laugh.gif

I practically never use a clip on anyof my pens except when I go out to formals and I dress up, which is practically never!!

Mine has the Soft Broad nib on it which is like writing with a magic marker!!! Wonderful flow and super smooth too, oh BTW it is a super wet writer which is what I like!!!

Here are some pictures!!!

impressive pen, ryan. and even more impressive handwriting! ohmy.gif
RyanL27
Thanks davyr! The softness of the Mikado nib really does a lot to improve handwriting! It's such an amazing pen....I get giddy every time I open its beautiful box to get it out biggrin.gif

It's now filled with Noodlers black, which is even better. Oddly, the ink flow is better with the Noodlers - great by me!!
davyr
you know, i feel the exact same way with my mikado (tamenuri) - somehow writing with that pen improves my handwriting - don't see this phenomenon with any of my other pens.

Hello
I see that you have both the mikado and the densho.
Could you please tell me if both use the same type of nib? (mikado nib bigger than densho?)

Thank you

Hey, didn't you hear about the re-call on these pens. Oh man, your fingers could fall off. It is really bad. But do not worry, if you send it to me I will see that it is properly disposed of. drool.gif
