Just got these pen on eBay... I believe the green is an Esterbrook LK... it is listed as an Esterbrook, but no model.... the other is a Mercantile BCHR lever filler...

Is the Estie a LK and if so what are they worth... I have not seen any around and Brian Anderson has it listed in the Deluxe Pen catagory....

Yep, looks like an LK all right. Here's a pic of the whole family:

Yours is the Willow green flavor.

Nice pens, but they have a tendency to scratch up the end of the barrel when you post them.

Best-
Brian

Thank You Brian...
Are they collectables or just good daily users...
I paid $25 for both pens... so I am not complaining... Of course I will probably have to resac both of them... but I am getting real good at that.. smile.gif9

Tom,

IMO all Esterbrooks are collectibles (since they're no longer made) AND they're good daily users, too. BTW, I've been wanting a Willow Green LK just like that! biggrin.gif And I'd like a Touchdown type pump filler in red or blue...

Best, Ann

Absolutely. smile.gif If you've got a good "user" grade pen that already has a scratched barrel end, you don't have to worry too much about lessoning the value per se. Throw in your favorite renew-point and you're good to go.

My favorite is the Royal Blue. smile.gif

Hey, Tom it is nice to know I am on the right track. I was the other bidder on that auction. I will note your eBay name and steer clear from now on. biggrin.gif I was really intersted in the Mercantile and the Este would have just been extra. wink.gif Anyway after loosing that one I won the other auction for the Parkers, Sheaffer, Este, and the Majestic so I don't feel so bad now!

Note my ebay user and PM me so we don't bump heads again!

Don't steer clear... just let me know how serious you are about the item.... some stuff I bid on "just because" and some stuff I am fairly serious about obtaining...
I don't want to stand in the way of something that someone really wants because of a whim on my part...
Of course if you outbid me on something that I am really wanting, I will have to find you and take it back..
come find you rolleyes.gif :bunny1: rolleyes.gif :bunny1:
In this case the Estie and BHR pens were a "just because" bid... I wanted a BHR for a writer...
Since I just got a Waterman 52 1/2, if I don't like the Mercantile, I will let you know since that is what you were interested in.

Thats OK. After I lost the Mercantile I was the only bidder on this one:

I have seen a bunch of good deals on HRs and decided to get one. I need to lay low for a little while till the 6 pens that I have won can get here. I just thought it was funny that a pen I was bidding on popped up here! I also usually have a lot of "just because" bids out there. I tend to bid rather than put it in my watch list.

Only because I did not see it also... tongue.gif tongue.gif

Nice find... I know what you mean... I have 5 pieces coming myself... time to slow down a bit before SWHTM catches on...
