got an email about this. they have the gold version around $230 and there is a steel nibbed version that is half the price. the $230 version is piston filled (a plus to me) and the steel nibbed is converter.
any experiences on this pen?
and how does it visually look to you compared to say the aurora optima in blue and then the bexley sheheradze?

Sam, I've got an Orione in sapphire blue, but it's a c/c filler with a steel nib, not the 18k nib/piston filler model. The piston filler version is on my wish list, but the basic version is equally gorgeous and an extremely smooth and reliable writer. Here are a couple of pics to give you an idea of it's size and colour.

someone suggested that instead of a bexley shehdraze, i get the signum orione in blue in stainless and then a sailor 1911. both might run close to $200.
for some reason i have it in my mind i want a piston filler. and after seeing the bexley and aurora optima, i cant see me settling for a pelikan. but this two pen option is enticing

Another comparison shot for you, top to bottom: Pelkan M200, Namiki / Pilot Vanishing Point; Sheaffer Cobalt Glow Balance II, and Signum Orione (steel nib, c/c fill):

Southpaw, great pic. I love that Sheaffer too!

Sam, the top pic: Taccia Andante & Signum Orione.
The second pic: Aurora Ipsilon, Filcao Atlantica Oro, Filcao Libra, Signum Orione, and a Ducati 1000.
