Hi all,
I bought myself a Sheaffer Tuckaway on e-bay
Ebay
and I would like to repair it.
I've cleaned it and set it apart.
I expected that the ink reservoir was the body of the pen itself as in others TD I have repaired.
To my surprise I discovered that the ink is contained in an inner transparent tube instead.
The rear packing unit is in good conditions, but the piston gasket has to be replaced.
How can I access the gasket?
The rear unit seems to be glued in place but not with shellac (a bath at 65 °C had no effect).
Should I remove the feed and extract the piston/shaft from the front or I have to cut the rear part of the ink reservoir?
Thanks
