I can advise that I will be receiving both versions of this pen (no fair squealing on me to She-who-must-be-obeyed) in the hopefully near future. My nibs are currently with Richard Binder for customisation and with luck will arrive about the time my pens arrive, at which point I shall unite them and one or both will become my daily users for awhile. I'll try to post my reactions to them once I've used them a bit, although my photographic abilities so pale in comparison, that I may borrow their images when I get around to posting on them.
I've been looking forward to having these in my hand for quiet awhile now......
"We have received the Vannerie pens, the Flamme will be with us shortly.
The new pens are faithful to the tradition of the CP Collection, they are fully covered in sterling silver with exclusive guilloche engravings.
The CP8 pens offer you a little more than past CP series. For the first time you have a choice of trim finish with both the Flamme and the Vannerie - yellow gold or rhodium.
The LE numbers 001 to 150 have yellow gold trim, 151 to 250 have the rhodium trim. The photo below shows the two trims.
You have the choice of writing modes - fountain pens or roller/ball pens, the latter becoming more popular with everyday users.
The guilloche engravings of the Flamme and Vannerie are also applied to the cap top, another first for the CPs, which enhances the overall appearance of the pens.
The CP8 page on our website gives details of the new series, please use the link below. The Certificate of Authenticity will be added shortly,it is given here for your information.
It has been sometime since the last CP series. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and support, the loyalty shown towards CP8 has been overwhelming. It is people like you who give us the courage to take risks in our endeavor to create exciting and efficient pens.
In particular, I wish to thank Lex, Sarj and Moorthi who took the time to test drive CP8 pens and publish their reports. And as always Jim Mamoulides for his brilliant photography.
Vannerie pens are on the way to their new homes.
