Full Version: I'd never even heard of "Vacufold"

Until saturday I didn't even realise this type of vacumatic existed.
Parker Vacumatic Duofold lookalike

They do have some issues.
40% brassing on cap rings.
Mangled nib.
Split in pencil above metal point.
I do think it will be worth outlaying some cash
to bring them back to life however.

Interesting Variant. Congrats. I mite have one on the website now, have sold a few and have i think a complete collection (8 different pens, 8 different pencils) sitting around somewhere. Took no small effort to acquire.

Pen should have a vac clip and nib (swappable of course) but also the vac imprint on barrel and the lined cap-band found only on those pens of this plastic that have Vac imprints.

Cheers David.

One thing I forgot to mention is size.
Did they make these in the whole range of sizes.

Mine is a fraction under 12cm.Sub-deb size?

2 sizes, 4 colors. The larger size is similar to the medium size duofold, thinner than typical Vac Major. Yours sounds like the smaller. S'pose we should call 'em Standard and Slender, or Long Slender n' Short Slender as both are similar girth.

As far as I know, I coined the term "Vacufold", but of course it is not Parker's designation for this family. Keeping the label in quotes hints at the retrospective nature of the name, which I favor.
