Okay, this isn't a fountain pen. I liked the 100th anniversary historical pen, but the retractable cartridge-only fountain pen with the little nib just didn't do it for me. So I gave it a pass for a long time.
A few weeks ago, I was in the boutique and initially saw nothing of interest, but was again drawn to the capped 100th Anniversary fountain pen. When I removed the cap, I remembered why it killed the desire. Still, I could use a nice ballpoint for those times when only a ball will do (e.g., multiple copies), so I asked to see a ballpoint. Nope! The tapered ball end was always exposed and ruined the historical look. But lo and behold, the rollerball required a real cap to keep the ink from drying out, and the capped pen looked just like the fountain pen. And it was practical (not as practical as a free pen from the bank teller, but we won't go there!). So, after I fiddled with it for a while, I bought the rollerball. I always carry it, now. And I can even stop swiping the bank's pens!
