Just noticed a range of interesting looking stationery I haven't heard of before. Its called O-Check. Does anyone have any experience with this range - the usual question applies re its fountain pen friendliness.
For my fellow Aussies its available online or from their shop direct in Melbourne. The shop is a newsagency that has a quirky stationery range as well. Interesting place.

Sounds interesting. I'll be there to check it out tomorrow.

Omigosh, deja vu. I was looking at that about 12 hours earlier and was about to post the exact same question!

From what Google tells me, it's a Korean brand - I feel it's a bit overpriced. I buy a fair few Korean spiral bound notebooks from Morning Glory for $5 or so and some are super fountain pen friendly. Others bleed and feather like there's no tomorrow.

I've trialled a few and finally stumbled on one particular style of notebooks that work excellently with fountain pens. I'm not sure if O-Check uses a similar type of paper but if they do - then yay, problem free writing.

Let me know if they're worth trying though, and if they're worth it.

OK - I managed to grab a few and they are good. There are two paper types. One is recycled and its not good for FP. The regular is very good and doesn't feather with my Lamys, Parkers or MBs. The small notebooks and the exercise books are priced OK - by Aussie standards they are similar to Moleskin Cahiers. But the paper is very good. I suggest if you are interested buy a couple of the smaller notebooks and try them out before you commit to their more expensive range like hardback notebooks etc. The website does tell you if the paper is recycled so just be sure of what you are ordering.
So far so good. Nice notebooks with a quality paper.

I was put on to the O-Check journals through the Notemaker site a few weeks back and think they are awesome. Kind of retro in design and lovely paper for my Lamy.. At $26.95 I thought really good value for Aus..

I am usually quite pleased with Korean papers.

It has to be a good indicator that the O-Check Letter paper is pictured with what looks like a Lamy Safari!

G'day Soki
Let us know what you think when you receive your books. I like some of their designs and not others but overall the non recycled paper seems to be very FP compatible. I particularly like the small notebooks and exercise book sizes.

Come on guys - have you received or picked up your notebooks yet? Interested to know what you think.
