Some fun pens.

Two OS (black and silver pearl) and one Senior Maxima (Burgundy), but with a bit of a tweeest.

Are those solid gold bands? I believe Maxima's usually have three bands and all of the bands look wider than usual.

Maxima has a ///\\\//// band, wide from 1937-1941, and in the USA think like a Major band after 1941.

earlier Oversize had triple thin bands, generally.

All three (2 OS, 1 Sr. Max) in this picture have wide hallmarked 9k gold bands. I do have evidence (though general collector wisdom long has held the same view) for Parker's original intent with these. Not common.

the great thing about david is that he keeps us dreaming by showing us just what's over the horizon.... and sometimes, not every day but sometimes, we get there. landed my first senior maxima last week and am looking forward to more--maybe a wide-banded or "Vacumatic"-banded beauty, one of these days....

I brought home with me a smaller version of that Burgundy Maxima, from the TO pen show. It has already been restored and its owner (not me) will be, most likely, wagging it under your nose in Columbus next month. Very sweet pens, that 9K band really stands out when you see them.

Cheers,
Sean

Keeping thinking i heard of that pen somewhere recently...

I have about 20 9k-band Canadians. Don't have a Major in Red (though have couple in brown) so will be interested.

Wow! These are the ultimate grail pens for me! I can only prey one day I will be able to find one out in the flea markets around here, or be able to afford one.

Thanks for sharing.
