As i dig through some of the gems in this latest batch fresh back from my neighborly (and neighbor) pen restorer here in sunny Syracuse, i come upon one I knew was a diamond in the rough.

The Parker Challenger family ran from 1934-1940. Three tiers within this 2nd Tier Family. Challenger and Deluxe Challenger were made in Black, Green, Silver, Red from 1934-1940.

Only Challenger (not done in Deluxe) saw Blue and then only in 1940.

Blue Challengers are relatively uncommon.

Clean Blue Challengers are relatively more uncommon still.

This set is the best i've handled. Looks better know that Zorn is done with it, of course.

This is vintage pen eyecandy. Don't need a Parker Snake to find a charming old pen.
