This one has been at the heart of my pen collection for at least several years, and will go nowhere anytime soon.

Filling the niche one might expect to be represented by a "slender oversized" or such, we have the essentially one-year model Senior. Burgundy Pearl. First Generation, presaging in some respects the second generation.

I believe the one to which you refer was a "vac-band" Senior Maxima.

You know, I really like the skinny/wide/skinny bands on a vac. I wish Parker would have been a bit more generous in the production volumes.

I've got to agree on the cap band configuration.

And this IS one of the nicest vacs I've seen pictured in a while.

Well, i'm pretty sure it has a proper OS nib, but as to point... i doubt i ever checked.
