Hello dear friends and Waterman lovers,

As usual sorry for my english mistakes.
Two important points:
1- The first one is that André Mora who own Mora Stylos in Paris ( a retailer ) organises from the 9th till the 17th October a Waterman exposition with more than 300 fountain pens from 1890 up to now, including a Waterman Snake, the vintage Patrician serie with the 7 colors...and vintage prototype, i will try to take some pics to post them over there later next week.
There will be a book edited with all the pens (in french) and the price should be around 80 euros, do not hesitate to pm me if you want it.

2- Edson 125, if you want to see it , do not hesitate to surf on the new penandco blog ( and not site ), it is already on line but not finished yet (in french for the moment) but pics are really great ( you just have to clic and a huge picture will be on your screen ).
Here is the adress:
penandco blog
And if you can (because i am testing the blog functions, do not hesitate to leave a comment :-))

I have called the Marketing staff in Paris this morning to get more informations about the pen ( i mean more than just price and lengh )and here are more elements about this limited edition.

- As you already know barrel and cap are palladium plated and blue lacque inserts.
- Clip and cap ring are silver plated and there is an awl.
- The number of the edition is engraved on the side of the clip.(1883pieces)
- About the nib:solid 18 carat gold rhodium on it,with an eagle awl ( official frenck mark for 18 carat nib ).
The nib has been tested test in a simulator re-creating flying condition in high altitude to prevent leak.
- The pen manufacturing process needs 30 different operations. The nib's operations are done manually.

If you need more informations do not hesitate to contact me.
From what i know Waterman strategy is very clear with the new french boss: concentrate on the top of the market for pens.

Thanks for reading this post.
Best
Jean Elie

I saw the exposition and believe me it was very nice. My preferred models were the man 100 prototype models in exotic woods and some sterling silver prototypes as well. I also saw models 17,18 and 20 which were very nice eyedroppers. I also took the opportunity to talk with a waterman sales representative about waterman's future.
The Edson 125 might look nice but like any edson nib it is a boring, dull and stiff as a pitchfork nib, try a 1st generation or 2nd generation man 100 for comparison you will see what I am meaning.
