So this is the standard Sterling Silver cap with gold filled clip, lined pattern with chevron band?
Standard is such a loaded word

Even with Photoshop, I cannot ascertain if the band pattern at bottom of pen is "first year/first style" or post-first-style, but the hint of blue diamond suggests a post first year style.
Whilst lined sterling caps (solid sterling with rhodium(?) plating) are not uncommon, they are more desirable, generally, than many of the GF caps or than typical lustraloy. Hard to find clean

Thanks David. Which is this you have pictured and what are the diffrences in the two?
The full discription I have is: "Cap is marked " Sterling Silver, made in USA ", the pen is marked " Parker "51", made in USA, .2.", cap is tarnished and has a few light dings, the pen has a name impressed on the barrel, the plunger is amber color with a black tip, this feels like it is stuck and I did not force it, sold as-is."
Thanks for all the help.
