Sounds crazy but Im almost 100% positive thats what happened to me recently. Has this ever happened to you?

Get a different converter, it's leaking.

I had it happen with my Ancora. Still haven't cleaned it up.

However -- long overseas flight may have more to do with it than the converter leaking. I'm going to give it one more go.

Happened quite often in my rotring 600. Tighter converter will solve it.

I've had Noodler's bulletproofs creep out of the nib of my VP then up the nib assembly into the inside of the pen. The ink can only creep on metal (I think) so I just used some car wax and "polished" a ring above the nib. I don't know if there is a similar fix in your case.

I also had a nightmare after seeing John Carpenter's remake of "The Thing" where the inks in my pens crept together into one very mobile blob that was scurrying around my room in the dark. I was really glad to wake up from that dream.

No, although some of the bulletproof inks are quite adept at making the bottle's threads and cap quite messy with no cooperation on my part, which means that your pen needs good seals all around. But still, if there is a leak, then something is wrong with your converter or its seal against the section--Noodler's is wet but we're not talking superfluidity (like liquid helium) here. smile.gif

I read recently about someone having this problem with MB Racing Green, which is a fairly dry ink in the grand scheme of things. I'd venture to guess it's an issue with the converter or pen, not so much the ink.
