I just joined up last week and thought I'd introduce myself a bit. I am a new fountain pen user, and have a Sheaffer Prelude and a Pilot 78G in the mail. I'm a college student in New York and mainly use the pens for my Chinese, which is my major. Writing characters is immeasurably more enjoyable with fountain pens--and now I use them for all of my writing!

Yes, pens exactly for Asian characters is a whole topic of itself.
But you will already have looked into this.

Sorry, if I may ask, what's about your user name? I really like it. Is it connected e.g. with Google Earth where you can switch between satellite earth shots and road maps (which I use a lot and love)?

I've been using this user name since I got my first e-mail address a decade ago. I use it for pretty much anything I do online, and I since I like traveling it reminds me of my own personal view of the world that I'm making. And I also like writing and the alliterations between the M's in the words are kind of neat.

--And I'm working on getting more pens! But I need more great advice from all the knowledgeable people on this forum
