Hey all,

I'm a 20 year old Irish lad on the verge of 21 (on Sunday!). I'm in college studying computer science although at the moment I am on a work placement. An older person who works with me asked me if I have ever used a fountain pen, replying in the negative she reminisced about how she used to use the in her school days. My interest was caught and I went out an bought a cheap Parker one in the stationary shop around the corner from my work. I must say, I much prefer writing with a fountain pen even if my penmanship is rubbish lticaptd.gif

Nice to meet you all smile.gif

Nice one BoyWonder. Once you wander around this site with its wealth of information, you'll be able to gas on about FP's to your colleague for hours on end.

Aye up and Eckie Thump to thee. Have a good b'day this weekend.

Welcome aboard. What kind of ink did you put in the Parker?

Well let me say that your handwriting can't be bad enough. A good FP (well, maybe any pen as long as you love it) will certainly lead to better writing (honestly!).

Eh...It was some ink that came with it. I'm pretty sure it is the parker range of ink called Quink Ink or something to that effect.

Hi, welcome... I was also started my journey with an unexpensive Parker (Parker Vector). At first, I just want to try what is fountain pen. But instead of "JUST TRYING", I have been addicted once I writing with it for the very first line. On the next day, I went to look for the other more expensive pens. Really don't know why fountain pens are so addictive

welcome... you see the only thing closed and still by miles away is a roller. they way a fountain pen writes makes even a bad handwriting looks cool... still better with a good handwriting....

i personally like inked bottle. all the procedure of open the bottle and ink the pen and then dry up, etc... and get the finger dirty with the ink and having to wash up. but if careful you do not really get your hands that dirty.
