Which green ink, would you say, best matches the traditional Pelikan barrel striations (those that one might find on a late model M400/M600/M800/M1000)? From looking at the Writing Desk swatches, and some scans, Herbin Vert Empire, Diamine Kelly Green, or Diamine Emerald might enter the ballpark. Hmmm...any thoughts?

Diamine Umber might work as well.

Green Pelikan + Diamine Umber work wonderfully.

MB's
racing green by no means, unless what you actually want is
a mixture of green and black, but I doubt that.
(I do love the green/black striations on the outside of my M800.)

Noodler's Zhivago, no doubt...

Zhivago comes out very black from the pens I've used it with.

Well, after some minor deliberations, I put in a sampler order for:
Diamine Umber
Diamine Emerald
Herbin Empire
Noodler's Green Marine
We shall see. I'm a bit leery to reintroduce one of my pens to Noodlers', but if it behaves well, and is a pleasant color, I might work something out.

Rohrer & Klinger verdisgris!
I have it in one of my M400s and it is a perfect match.

Isn't Verdigris a blue?

it's a pretty greenish blue- but definately closer to blue than green, especially when compared to the green striped Pelikans.

I have plenty of Racing Green, which is why I'm searching for the replacement.

Diamine Woodland Green and Kelly Green are both good imho.
