In a rare twist of fate, I now own three Montblanc Bohemes and a 3-slot Boheme pouch.
Here are some photos of the triplets.







If you know Bohemes, you may notice that the pens on the right and left don't look like any of
the available models. That is because they started out like this:



One was the black resin with platinum-plated trim and no stone; the other was the stainless
steel with a black onyx stone. But after a simple cap switch, they turned into these:



I mostly keep them this way, preferring the two-tone look. But having these two Bohemes is
really like having four, because you can alter the combinations.



The pinstripe Boheme is also a little different from what you usually see: It is the sterling silver
version of the pen that is no longer produced. Current production striped lacquer Bohemes are
platinum-plated, whereas this one is solid sterling with black lacquer. You can see the Ag 925
hallmark in the first image just under the stone. The stone here is a clear crystal.







And here are all three pens together again inside the Boheme pouch. These pouches come in
several colour schemes. I decided to get the one with royal blue lining rather than black lining,
with the idea that blue would make a better background to show off black and metal pens.

Also I envy your Sterlin Silver striped Bohème. I didn't know there was a solid silver version of this pen.

In my opinion, the silver pinstripe model is the best-looking MB Boheme. Here is what I wrote about it in a different thread shortly after purchase:

The striped one really is one of the nicest Bohème finished together with the with Silver Blue, Doué Ligne and Marron....

Do you know when the Sterling Silver striped model was discontinued and replaced by the plated one?

Those are fabulous, QM2!

The salesperson told me that only the first production batch was made in sterling, and at that point they were not sure whether it'd be a special edition or a regular model. They did not make it a regular model, and instead launched the platinum plated version... However, I have found no verification of this word-of-mouth info in written form. And oddly, there is no difference in how the two versions of this pen are named.

When I was at the MB Private Sale in Boston in the 1st week of September, they had a whole stash of these in the vault with different nib sizes -- maybe five pens total. So if anybody seriously wants this pen, try calling the Boston MB Shop and asking for it specifically. It is not displayed in their boutique, so explain to them that you want the discontinued pen that was offered during the private sale.

I will check my Bohéme calatogs if I find any mentioning of the Sterling Silver version.

Well, I keep hoping that one of my current pens will have a litter, but so far it hasn't happened!

I am posting these samples in response to Jeen and others who have asked.

From the top:
- .4mm Cursive Italic nib modified by Richard Binder
- factory Fine nib
- factory Oblique Broad nib

The paper is a Rhodia 5x5 pad. The inks are MB Bordeuax cartridge, MB Blue-Black
cartridge, and MB Racing Green Cartridge.

As you can see, the OB nib performs similarly to a stub. It is a very wet nib!

Yum. I like the look of the OB writing and I adore the way that pinstripe pen looks

Its nice to see people with a lot of passion to pens and MB in particular.

I own 1 Boheme and I love it.If this pen had the option of putting a converter I would use it even more.

I think all 3 are beautiful and its actualy very hard for me to choose which one is my favorite

Fate came to me in the guise of:
1 Bromfield Pen Shop sale a year ago (the black resin pen)
1 gift from Husband over the summer (the steel and onyx pen); and
1 superb Private Sale at the Boston Montblanc Boutique in September, which allowed me to buy the pinstripe pen and the discontinued pouch at 50% off!

Still, Fate now tells me that a lot of extra consulting projects must be taken on to pay for all these lovely deals it's been handing me!...

PS: That's right, you do like pinstripe pens! Those striped Murex are very striking indeed.

When I got my first Boheme, I was skeptical and thought that this pen was just a pretty novelty. But it is incredibly comfortable for daily writing. I am glad others find this to be the case as well!
