I probably posted this couple years back, but having just stumbled across it I recalled why I liked it smile.gif

This shot, for once, is not digital montage. The pens were shot together. My own collection of Coral Celluloid, mostly Wahl.

So lovely, and just the color for this time of year.

Nice pic David. So how come no one told me about this forum? And with me having collected Wahl Eversharp for 40 years? I will start posting questions and pictures hopefully starting today. Don

Nice pic David. I observed that, excepting a deskset pen, all the writting instruments in your pic have 2 narrow golden bands. That is true also for the coral pens in my collection.
Is there any meaning for the number and width of the cap bands (as it is with Montblanc pens)? And are there any associations between the number of the bands and the colour of the pen, as observed in this case?

Welcome Don! I agreed to moderte this forum almost 2 years ago. When I mentioned it on PT, naively thinking that a forum dedicated to the Wahl-Eversharp line might be interesting to EVERYONE EVERYWHERE, I received a rebuke informing me that it was bad form to talk about FPN on PT because sponsors would be disturbed because they paid $$ to support that board, and seeing notices about another board would not go over well with them. As usual I ignored all that and still post there and lots of other places for that matter. BUT I never "advertised" our forum there again. Maybe that is why it just comes to you so recently?

If I knew you did not know, I would have said something. Now if we could attract Cliff, we would probably have a lock on the Wahl-Eversharp collection, information, brain trust right here.

PLEASE do contribute anything and everything you have for us from your vast experience with "our" brand.

Cliff has poked in. Barring unknown handles, he doesn't seem to play much on any of the lists. Our loss. He usually has nice insights to offer.

There is rumor of an OS Deco Band in Ohio and one ad page suggests such, but that one is not catalogued. Most seem to have double bands. My recollection is that the catalogued price of most colors are same for a given size, independent of which cap-band found. Why some colors seem to have fancier band in standard size pen than others... i do not know.

There is indeed a coral decoband in Ohio, I have seen it. At least it was in Ohio about ten years ago. The condition was not so good, but it is a coral decoband. I'm still looking for a coral doric and a three band goldseal deskpen in coral.
