Both Pelikans are in impeccable condition. No brassing that I can see. Number (1)'s piston is a tad on the tight side but works well. It is an extremely smooth writer. I've only used the Platinum through one converter of ink. It is a smooth writer but still too fine a nib for me.

If you would like to trade, I'm after pens with broad/stub nibs.
