Full Version: Need a new feed for my 1911 . . .

I managed to screw up the feed on my full-sized Sailor 1911 (don't ask). I think that if I can get a new one, the pen can be salvaged since the nib is probably OK, and at worst a bit bent and fixable by a good nibman (can't really tell).

Anyone have any idea on where I might find a Sailor feed? I read that Swisher sold Sailor nibs/sections, but this seems to no longer be the case. I looked on eBay, but no luck. Might I be able to get this part directly from Sailor?

If I can't find a feed, then I've got a useless shell of a pen . . .

Maybe try someone who knows how to fix them, and used to work with Sailor.... www.mikeitwork.com . Mr. Masuyama may not have the parts himself, but he probable knows someone who does, or a contact to get one.

Good luck!

George,

Many thanks!!! I've sent a note off to Masuyama-san asking for his advice and help. Hopefully the pen can be salvaged!
