To do some HW (math, hahaha!) I used my Sheaffer's Sentinel Touchdown pencil, but for my other HW I will use my Sentinel pen. What a great writer!

today in the four pen case I have, from left to right, a Sheaffer filled gold FP ( its the 797 model ), a cocoa / stainless steel capped Parker 51 pencil, an English made Parker 51 Signet ( I think this is what it is - is a all rolled gold parker 51) and the matching FP to the cocoa pencil. The Signet arrived on Monday in the post - it's lays down a bit too much ink and is a bit thick for my liking. The Cocoa 51 on the other hand is just perfect.

Also with me today is a Parker 15, a few refilled Pilot v4 pens and a Parker 45 flighter. In the two pen case are a lamy vista and an English Senior Duofold in burgandy and black marble.

Is this excessive ?

Only if you try to use more than one at a time!

I'm carrying a Sheaffer Valient Snorkel with PR Copperburst, a Parker 45 with Quink (leftover) black in, a Parker 21 Super with Noodler's black, and a Hero 616 with Noodler's Aircorps Blue-black.

The 21 Super and the Hero 616 are pretty much premanent pocket dwellers, they are for lab documents and signing (permanent ink), the other two pens I usually carry depend on what I feel like in the morning.

Montblanc Boheme in the large size. Great bold oblique nib.

Forgot the two-pen case so when I needed a finer nib for note-taking I took out the Nakaya, but the nib is in need of a soak, so I'll be using it by day end. Used a Visconti Pericles as a backup.

So far, my two pens include a Sheaffer's Admiral Touchdown, with the wrong nib, filled with Noodler's Black, and my Sheaffer's Skripsert, filled with Skrip Red. My pencil is a Sheaffer's Crest Deluxe pencil, soon to have its matching pen, a Tuckaway Vac-Fil, back from the shop! I can't wait! I will start taking that one instead of the Touchdown. Anyone have a Admiral Touchdown for parts?

Yesterday I finally figured out how to restore this pen that's been kicking around for about three years now. I bought it in a big parts lot, and I've been shuffling it aside, ignoring it because I didn't know how it worked, until this week. My friend Dennis Ryder has been helping me by sorting out my boxes and bags and drawers and piles of parts, and he found the pen among the Conklin parts. Seeing it reminded me that it was time for a little excitement, so I restored it.

What is it? It's THE ALL-AMERICAN PEN (product of Conklin), and its filler, the repair of which took me a while to psych out, is a bulb filler that uses a twist knob to "wring out" the sac/bulb thingie. Twist, you expel air. Release, the sac sucks up ink through the breather tube. This thing is a sweet pen! It has a nice Conklin-imprinted nib with a tiny bit of flex, and I'm lovin' it.

Today I've been using my new Filcao Columbia filled with Waterman black. That's a super cool pen Richard!
